Western Power and Equipment was formed in late 1992 to acquire 7 Case Corporation retail distribution facilities in Washington and Oregon. Since then, the company has expanded, and now has 9 locations, broadening its market area into California and Nevada.

Western Power is one of the largest distributors of Case equipment in the United States and continues to investigate opportunities to open dealerships in new markets. The company reduces business risk and costs of market development by test marketing a geographical area with sales, parts, and service from an existing store prior to opening a new location.

The construction equipment distribution industry is highly fragmented with many opportunities for consolidation through the acquisition of smaller independent dealers. The company continuously evaluates acquisition opportunities for strategic fit and expansion into new geographic and product markets.

By obtaining additional lines of construction, agricultural and industrial equipment from other manufacturers, Western Power & Equipment can add to its customer base and enhance sales to existing customers while expanding its equipment parts and service capabilities.

The short, medium and long-term rental of equipment is the fastest growing segment of the equipment industry as well as one of the more profitable segments. Western Power & Equipment intends to aggressively pursue this segment by opening rental only stores and emphasizing rental in other select market locations.

Western Power & Equipment expanded its operations into the mining industry, by acquiring Arizona Pacific Materials LLC in September of 2004.
